Which option
actually costs less?
Compare the price per item, weight or volume. Enter the total price and the full quantity you will receive.
The formula is simple. The details matter.
Unit price = total price ÷ total quantity. For multiple packs, total quantity is the quantity in one pack multiplied by the number of packs. Weight and volume conversions are applied before comparing.
For example, $12 for 20 items is $0.60 per item. $15 for 30 items is $0.50 per item. The second option costs 16.7% less per item, even though its checkout price is higher.
Can I compare different measurement units?
Yes, within the same type of measurement. Grams can be compared with pounds, and milliliters with US fluid ounces. Weight cannot be compared with volume without additional product information. This tool uses US fluid ounces, not Imperial fluid ounces.
What about delivery, tax or a coupon?
Enter the price you want to compare after applying the relevant charges or discount. Use the same basis for both options. The tool does not fetch live prices, calculate tax or apply coupons automatically.
Does the lower unit price always win?
No. Consider whether you can use or store the quantity, and whether the products are genuinely comparable in quality or concentration. The calculator compares the numbers you enter, not the overall suitability of the products.
Do you save my prices?
No. The calculator runs in your browser and does not send your entries to a server. Values reset when you reload the page.
