Is this the right fit?
Consider it if...
Consider Ultra if you already have an espresso-capable grinder or deliberately want to select one separately. It is a candidate for someone willing to prepare coffee and use a steam wand, rather than expecting an automatic bean-to-cup milk drink.
Look elsewhere if...
It is a weaker fit if you are buying whole beans but have no grinder budget, or if manual milk texturing is a chore you want to avoid. If you want grinding integrated into the same station, compare MARENZA and account for its different footprint and ownership tradeoffs.

A screen does not do the preparation for you
CASABREWS describes an LCD interface with shot controls and a steam wand for Ultra. Those controls can help organize a routine, but you still need to prepare the basket, brew and clean up. Do not judge the machine by an advertised pressure number alone. The useful question is whether the controls and workflow make sense for the drinks you regularly make.
Price the grinder before deciding the machine is cheaper
The official Ultra information says a separate grinder is needed for whole beans. If you have one, confirm that it can make the adjustments your espresso setup needs. If you do not, compare the combined cost of the machine, grinder and basic tools with an integrated option. Pre-ground coffee may be convenient, but gives you less scope to change grind size when a shot behaves differently.
Plan the milk part of breakfast
Check pitcher space, cup clearance and the exact accessories included with the selected ASIN. If two people want milk drinks back to back, read the manual's brewing and steaming sequence and consider the cleanup between drinks. We have not timed heat-up, steaming or recovery, so this guide makes no promise about how quickly that breakfast routine will run.
Leave room and time for care
Make sure you can remove and wash the tray and refill the water tank in the intended location. The manufacturer says the steam wand needs manual wiping and purging; an automated care reminder is not a substitute. Follow the manual's water and descaling guidance. We have not measured extraction temperature, shot consistency, milk texture or durability.
How the models differ
Ultra keeps grinding separate; MARENZA integrates a grinder. Separate components let you choose or replace the grinder independently, while an integrated machine can reduce the number of purchases. Compare the entire station rather than only the espresso machine price.
